Less than a year ago, it heard about the
Peak 8 workout while searching for workout tips at Mercola.com. What I found literally blew my mind because it was the same workout type of workout that I did while playing high school sports. All the peak 8 or sometimes called the sprint 8 is intervals. We did interval training in cross-country, track, basketball, wrestling, and hockey.
Intervals hurt like hell and got us into shape fast. We had a love hate relationship with this workout. Take a look at the links below to learn more about the Peak 8.

Here is the equipment that I use for my interval training.
My favorite heart rate chronograph watch is the Timex Iron Man. It stays on my person almost 24-7.
When I do run my sprints in the grass, I either run barefoot or in Merrell Trail Gloves. Barefoot is the way to go if you have an even surface without holes, debris, etc to hurt you.
A good heart rate monitor helps you run up to your target heart rate. I have no problem getting my heart rate up when doing the Peak 8.
